Vermont Specialty Slate was started in 1995 by the Sauder family in Goshen, Vermont, as a manufacturer of art slate for artist and stencil companies.  Soon we moved into manufacturing and distributing roofing slate shingles and flooring slate.

 

With a growing demand for landscape slate we also started supplying local landscapers and builders with landscape and veneer stone.

 

Today we have a yard and plant in Forest Dale, Vermont and manufacture and ship slate roofing, slate flooring tiles, trimmed slate flooring, landscape slate, and landscape stone.
